Reported problems with a garage door opener that did not work properly and failed to open the door fully.
Arrived to troubleshoot the problem, identified a slack opener chain as the source, which doesn't allow the door to lift more than a few feet. Like a muscle, chain drive garage door openers use the chain to pull and lower the panels, and its poor tautness was the issue. The opener chain was also cracked and rusty so we suggested it be replaced as this part must be of high quality to perform properly. With Mr. Hudson's consent, we installed a new garage door opener chain and lubricated it for more efficient movement.
